Hey all, I have just done a fresh kde-core install on top of a command line only install of ubuntu, I've basically run apt-get install kde-core kdm, and thats it.

Its beautifully light weight, so much so that I have no way to configure my wireless connection. What package installs network management, and the required WEP and WPA support.

along with Koffice i think thats all I need on my netbook for uni

I rarely use kde, but I think
sudo apt-get install knetworkmanager does the trick.
sudo apt-get install koffice for koffice.
