Yes I love Eureka, and if you are wondering; yes, it is going on for a season 4 :) (proof (http://airlockalpha.com/news/6658/no-surprise-eureka-earns-fourth-season-on-syfy.html))

Eureka is an awesome show. I watch it all the time. I'm just pissed with all of the half-season crap we've had to deal with =(

Eureka is fine for a Saturday afternoon, but if you want to watch top-quality sci-fi, then buy the Battlestar Galactica DVD set. Nothing beats BSG.

Well, some people even like the Stargate franchise, so no reason to be sorry :)

Stargate is cool!

Star trek too, and BSG too.

But I have to agree with the guy earlier in the thread: Legend of the Galactic heroes is the best sci-fi show ever made, period. It has such a deep en engaging story, that really sucks you into the show, that you have to see it to believe it.

I don't know Eureka, but Eureka 7 is another cool sci-fi/action show, altough it doesn't take place in space :guitar:

Stargate has action and plot, while bsg is simply a soap.

WHAT? BSG has an amazing 4 year arch, full of mystery, mysticism, prophecies, politics, ethic challenges and controversies, drama, action and some hilarious moments too.

BSG has by far better actors, better scripts, better sets, better CGI, better soundtrack, better archs and better reality check. Executive Producer David Eick said "We wanna do something to the genre, that hasn't been done in a generation, which is actually treat it seriously" and Ronald D. More has created a new aesthetics trend, baptized Naturalistic Sci-fi (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Naturalistic_science_fiction). Stargate it's just a bunch of guys going through a portal with big fake guns and killing an army of aliens on each episode. Stargate looks amateur job next to BSG. :)

Wow, you both resemble 'the tooth fairy' Alan Carr, a British comedian...

Yeah, say what you will about your disco-influenced nice hair and wookies scifi series.

I watched a few episodes of Eureka, liked it. Then I was working when it was on. =/

Firefly, Star Trek, Stargate, BSG, Babylon 5, etc are all good scifi shows as well, but they aim at a different audience.

Firefly and space above and beyond were the only space fairing television shows i could tolerate in modern television.

That being said, the original Star Trek was badass.

TNG was gay as hell. In fact I am pretty sure everyone who liked TNG is either a furry or mildly retarded.

I like watching Eureka also. Kinda crappy want see S4 until next summer tho../BOO

Also I have always been a big Stargate SG1 fan. The new Stargate Universe is looking really really good for those looking for something else to watch. The production and acting quality seems to really stepped up a few notches over the past few seasons of SG1 and Atlantis.
SGU is on Hulu so check it out.

I'm glad you enjoy your show so much you actually think all of that. Have fun watching it. :)

[quote]Stargate it's just a bunch of guys going through a portal with big fake guns and killing an army of aliens on each episode.

I disagree. Most of the weapons on stargate are in the real world (p-90, for instance.) If you mean fake-looking, how? They seem real enough to me.

And it is more then "killing an army of aliens on each episode," but I suppose you know that as well as me.

Stargate looks amateur job next to BSG. :)

You know what's a pet peeve of mine? People stating their opinion like it's a fact...
