Hello friends. I have not Internet connection in my house and it's very difficult in my country connecting to internet. I have a local repository and I'd like download the Live CD ISOS from it. With TASKSEL command I can't do it.

I new in GNU/Linux systems and I'd like sharing with my friends this incredible Operating System but some of they have old PC and with the Ubuntu Live CD I can't install the system.

Thank all.

I'll try my best, but perhaps explaining what you want to do a little better will help.
First, you can make live cds out of a local repositories simply because they are two different things.
For your friends with older hardware I'd recommend an alternate cd with text based installer, or a more light weight distro altogether.

Thanks Mike... Nice read!!! I fonded a solution with the Ubuntu Alternative CD. I install a basic system and then I can choose the X: Lxde, Kde, Gnome.
