View Full Version : [SOLVED] Multiple Monitors - Keyboard Shortcut to Flip Windows between Screens?

Hi, I have currently upgraded to two monitors and have a question.

I'd like to be able to swap a window between monitors via a keyboard shortcut.

For example, I can use Alt+F10 to unmaximize a window, then use Alt+Mouse to drag it over to another monitor, then hit Alt+F10 to remaximize it into the new screen. What I'd like to have is a keyboard shortcut to consolidate these commands into one.

In Windows, there is a great program called UltraMon. I would map Ctrl+~ to swap windows between monitors.

Is there a Compiz plugin maybe for this? Or a way to use Compiz to do this? I'd be willing to attempt to build a Compiz plugin that handles this stuf...

I went back into Compiz config to double check.

"Extra WM Actions" -> "Move Window to Next Output"
mapped that to "Control-grave" (Ctrl+tilda).

Works perfectly!!!! :)

I love Compiz.
