Hello i've been kind of shut out of the VOIP world for the past few months... I used to use it just for general chating PC to PC, but now i'm after it to call normal phones too.

Which linux service has the cheapest rates? and which Windows one has the cheapest rates (if its any cheaper) as I have a windows machine and if it's cheaper well, i'd prefer to use that for calling phones :D

umm... I think that there aren't linux services and windows services.. if you use certain voip places you can use a softphone which there are linux ones... Also, you could use skype or gizmo and buy callout/callin stuff...

Ah yes sorry I wasn't very clear..

*some* voip services only allow you to connect with a windows client, thats what I ment by windows only service

I've found some (http://www.voipcheap.co.uk/en/index.html) that seem to allow unlimited free calls to many destinations.. hmm!
