Hello Community,

When I zoom out and rotate the cube, the background is black. How can I change the colour or indeed the aspect of that background. For example it would be great to be able to stick an image of the milky way or ocean depths or something like that. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

In the compiz configuration settings, in the section for 3D cube (or whatever it's called. Can't check now as I'm at work and we run M$ on our desktops) you should find the part that gives you the choice to specify an image as the background.

You can set an image with Skydome. It's in the appearance tab of the Desktop Cube plugin. If you have a 360 degree panorama, you can also select the Animate option there to have it wrap around the 3d area.

Also look at the "Cube Reflection and Deformation" plugin. Instead of a background, it gives a more 3D feel to your cube when rotating
