I have a media center pc, that i have just installed ubuntu on.
I was normaly running windows 7, but one of my hdds crashed, a 700gb :(
Well after alot of yelling did i get a 500 gb, from my other pc, and i have ordered 2x 1,5 Tb hdds.

My set up of my 500gb hdd is
20gb to /
2gb to swap
478gb to /media/hd1

And i'm yet to set up my 2x 1,5 Tb.

I would like to set up my harddrives so the 478gb and the 2x1,5Tb hdds work as one partion, for easyer management of my media files.

I was told that i should use LVM to do this, but i haven't relly been able to find a guide that could help me.
Also is the possible to do this setup without removing the files on my /media/hd1 paratition?

Edit: forgot some information about my pc
It have a Intel Duo Core 2,4 Ghz
2 Gb DDR2 Ram
WD Caviar Green 500 Gb SATA
2xWD Caviar Green 1,5 Tb SATA
MB: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3
running Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty 32 bit
