I downloaded a theme named Murrina Triomphe. But like other themes, it does not have any tar.gz file but some code in a folder named gtk2.0.

I am really frustrated now and there seems no way of installing this theme.
Please help:confused::confused::confused:

Hi.

Just extract the content in your /home/<your_user>/.themes folder.
Then go to System->Preferences->Appearance and choose your theme.

I tried but it is not showing the theme in the list..

Does it require index.theme file in my theme folder??

Ok, after you unpacked in .themes, try this:
Open appearance, and click on customize.
On the first tab (controls) you should be able to select your theme. Also on Window Borders you should be able to select the installed theme borders.

This is because the archive does not contain a complete theme package, but contains separately the metacity theme and the gtk theme/style, so you have to select them individually.

Cheers.
