Clearing out the garage, I had been meaning to sell my Audigy 2 soundcard and surround speakers for the last year.
Anyway I thought I would try these out before selling on ebay, so I installed the PCI card, disabled on the onboard sound in the bios and booted Ubuntu.
Ubuntu found the card, but no sound. Good I thought, this is going to be a complete nightmare.
After a bit of googling and after a little bit of tweaking the damn speakers came to life.
I have no alternative but to keep the speakers now. I was kind of hoping it would not work in Ubuntu, so it would give me the excuse for selling them lol.
