I just upgraded my Acer Aspire One AOA 150-1570 to 9.10 Beta NBR and I have no sound. The sound icon doesn't appear in the top panel. Also, when I go to system and click sound it will not open. Also, the Micro SD card reader doesn't show up and micro SD card is not shown as there. Anyone fixed these problems. I should just stick with what I have and not upgrade anymore....always have problems. Always problems with media stuff.:(

I have a Aspire One as well (model 205) and I also have no sound after install... but one of my two SD card slots is dead, but other than that, all is working fine. If anyone has a fix for the sound, let me know.... here's a weird hint as well. I have the login sound at the start (the 4 note jingle) but that's the last thing I hear until I log in again.

After I installed the new update I had no sound. I restarted & updated then restated again...and all was fine!

If anyone is still having trouble with missing sound or unresponsive touchpad or anything else driver-related, you need to update your /boot/grub/menu.lst so that it loads the latest kernel.

Thanks for the reply. I dropped my Acer One and now it doesn't work at all. I'm going to have to take it apart and see what I did to the wireless card...wireless won't connect at all now(Ubuntu or Windows) plus sound(in Windows) is tinny. The Acer One doesn't like to be dropped.
