I have recently aquired an iMac DV Special Edition (Slot Loading)

Does anyone know if this would be sufficient to install and run Ubuntu 8.10?

You can try Jaunty if you want.Download iso here. (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/ports/releases/jaunty/release/)Use alternate CD for install.If you want Intrepid look here. (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ports/releases/intrepid/release/)
