Hi, I would like to learn Animation using Ubuntu, I would like to make my own cartoons :)

It was a good idea but I think adobe shut it down.

If it was clean-room reverse engineered like ReactOS, there should've been no reason for them to do so, really. Or they could've bought them out =/

I don't know if you are also interested in 3D animation, but Blender is awesome, steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's a powerful program.

But gives me a segfault, it won't even start. Any idea how to fix that? :(

Make sure you got all the deb packages.
The following NEW packages will be installed:
libsynfig0 libsynfigapp0 synfig synfig-examples synfigstudio

I downloaded all of those and all I get, temporarily, is the synfig shield. What else can I do?
