Weirdly, since I booted into KDE sound hasn't worked in Gnome or KDE, I don't know if it was something to do with KDE or it was just to do with Karmic (even on Gnome it started sound muted and on 0% by default, so it's a bit weird anyway).
But just then I muted IEC958 whatever that is in Kmix and suddenly... SOUND! Weird man!
But yeah, it's fine now, finally I can watch that flash video my m8 linked me to last night lol
I had checked everything - Alsa, Pulseaudio, restarted them, ran their mixers, everything, but nothing! And then this worked.. I only did it coz I was bored and clicking things at random...
