Installed KK but is it really KK?

Hi Folks,

I downloaded the Xubu 9.10 beta of KK and installed it yesterday.

Used the same partitions:

/root - formated - B
/home - not formatted - kept my old settings.
/swap is the same.

Now, people are talking about this "Ubuntu Software Store" I don't have it, I have Synaptic.

Click on help and I see: "Ubuntu 9.04"

However the theme is 9.10, the login is 9.10 - am I missing something somewhere? There's a couple of other things that lead me to believe I have a mix of the two, 9.10 & 9.04, just can't put my finger on them at the moment.

And since I have you here:

How come I can't "Save to X Configuration File" with "NIVIDA X Server Settings"?

check for updates if you haven;t already . When i first installed the software store wasn't there it appeared after updating. Make sure you dont do partial updates read the sticky.
