Hello everyone. Got an issue with loading ubuntu cd, I burn the iso onto a disc(the 64 bit one) but it always gives me the "I/O error boot cd" and has the 204200EF message on the top left of the screen. Ive tried advice on other forums and finally decided to post here as a last resort.

Things I have made sure to do:
-Changing different cd's(RW to R, tried using a dvd rw)
-burned iso at 1x and made sure the disc included all the files, not just an image.

basically, I get to the loading screen with the options and it gives me the error when I try to Install Ubuntu. "Trying ubuntu without changing your pc" option does nothing either.

Any ideas? should i try the 32 bit iso and see if that works? I'm just tired of waisting cd's and am trying to get some concrete fixes before i blow through my rack of re-writeables :D

Pre-thanks to all posters!

Have you run md5sum on the CD? https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM
