How o remove giant graphic when switching desktops?

I'm running Karmic with KDE 4.
When I switch desktop this gigantic graphic appears showing that I'm switching desktops.
Very annoying, it slows me down and I want to get rid of the graphic but I don't know how.

Help is appreciated.

This is a compiz effect and may be disabled in compiz-config.

You better start System settings and check what kind of animations you have enabled...

The option Desktop Effects is disabled.
