Grub

Hi guys..
I am running win xp nad jaunty on my PC
When i install win xp ...it doesnt show me the menu to select ubuntu
How do we get it...??

did you install ubuntu THEN install xp?

i believe you have formatted your drive to ntfs/fat? that means ubuntu has been formatted out

No..i mean..i m running both of them...But whenevr i format win and reinstall it,i dont see the menu..It directly goes to the win xp

did you install xp on the same disk ubuntu was on?

nope..i hv 2 separate partitions ...on which i hv installed both o them

if i am not mistaken, when you install xp, you have to format the disk to ntfs/fat. i could be wrong :).
does your disk show any ubuntu files? or either than xp, is there anything taking up space?

no it shows me the ubuntu partitions...

if that didn't work, i suspect grub has been removed. try this to reinstall it: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=224351
