Evolution attachment column

I'm using Evolution for my email with Karmic. Some of the emails I receive that clearly have attachments (and Evolution displays the attachment in the mail view) do not display a little paper clip in the attachments column.

Does anybody have any experience of this, or suggestions why it occurs?
