harry potter had to much teenage romance for me to enjoy it, the previous ones were way better.

i heard that they are going to split the last book into 2 movies.

I've never been much of an avid fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed it at the local IMax

Other than that; only other's I've seen this year is Transformers 2 & Public Enemy.

Oh and suffered through Fast & Furious

9 was simply beautiful as I always enjoy 3D animations. However, it was predictable after seeing the original short film.

I distinguish between a good film and a fun film. That is, proper good film vs mindless entertainment.

in the anime word, it would be Death Notes vs Lucky Star.
or Monster vs Dragonball Z

plot and evil but yet good charachters > explotions and bright colours

A lot of people scoff at the idea of a comedy being amongst the best movies, but I mean it legitimately. I have not seen a comedy with that much writing power since There's Something About Mary, and even that wasn't as strong.
