View Full Version : [ubuntu] Installing Longene/LUK/Linux Unified Kernal

I wish this were a how to do it thread, but sadly - for now - it's not.
That said...
I'm toying with the idea of trying the unified kernel, but I'm not exactly certain how to do it.
Yes, I know there's two Ubuntu .deb packages, the wine one I haven't tried because the kernel one left me with a list of odd errors (see attached text file) which put me off, since I haven't a clue.

The system I'm installing it onto is Ubuntu Jaunty, kernel 2.6.28-15-generic on i686 - thanks to conky for telling me that bit.

My question currently is, is there a way to get the unified kernel to work on Jaunty, since reading the news page on their site, it mentioned using the 2.6.30 kernel, which to my knowledge is only currently available in Karmic.
If not, am I better off waiting for Karmic, and then trying it again then?

Also, I apologize if I've put this in the wrong place, I thought given it's an install problem, it made sense.
