hello fellow members,
i have 2 questions
1. i would like to know if there is a method to have a bookmark mode of a menu item listing the file hierarchy of linux in a panel of gnome, similar to the system > preferences .... thing

2.in nautilus, is there an option for dockable panels just as in dolphin

I'm not sure I understand what you are looking for but have a look at the file-browser applet. There is a screen shot about a third of the way down the page.

i would be grateful if somebody could direct me in reference to my 2nd query....? i m dying to have dockable panels in nautilus... just like in case of octave or gimp....
