Hello, I made a dual boot install of ubuntu with windows xp.
When I select ubuntu it seems to start booting then the monitor goes dark .
A message about the frequency being out of range then appears.
I've tried booting in normal mode and safe graphics mode , but it's still the same.
I also get the same error with the live cd.
In xp my monitor refresh rate is 75Hz, and the lowest it goes to is 60 Hz.
I tried editing the normal and safe graphics mode by typing " linux vsynch=70"
as I had seen that mentioned somewhere. That didn't work either.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Alex
