hi, I have a problem and I hope that someone can help me.

Yesterday I was using my laptop, I run out of battery, and the laptop suddenly turned off. One hour before the laptop run out of battery, I had updated the Ubuntu.

Today, everytime I try to start my ubuntu I get the following message:

Ubuntu is running in low graphics mode.

"The following error was encountered, you may need to update your configuration to solve this.

EE Intel(0): No kernel modesetting driver detected
EE Screen(1): Found but none have a usable configuration"

If I accept running Ubuntu in low graphics mode, the first thing I see is a message saying that the screen isn't composited.

I am using a Lenovo 3000 N200 with an intel GMA 3100 using Ubuntu 9.04. By the way I had a problem with the graphic card (the screen was not composited either) when I first installed Jaunty, but I fixed it by adding X update PPA to my sources list (that was 4 months ago).

I would be very grateful If someone could help me. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem. It's discussed at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8081020 but I don't understand any of the instructions given there!
