View Full Version : [ubuntu] Lost all nautilus settings after 9.10 upgrade

Hey everyone,

Upgrading to the beta 9.10 went smoothly and works great. The only issue I have is Nautilus folder settings have all been restored to defaults, all of my emblem assignments (which are important to my work) are gone. All the files are still there in the ~/.nautilus/metadata directory, but a new file titled migrated-to-gvfs is there (if I delete it it comes back when I reboot).

How can I get my folder settings back?

Thanks

Is there a Nautilus forum somewhere I can ask this question? Also, does anyone know if there's a way to turn off the GVFS or whatever and have Nautilus use its old metadata file method of storing folder preferences? Thanks
