Hi,
We're trying to switch to Ubuntu at work, and are having a problem with one piece of vital software. Specifically a program called "it", which is part of the Pixar RenderMan package. The program is officially supported on RedHat, and runs fine on RedHat and CentOS, but needs older versions of some libraries when run on Ubuntu 9.04....which is understandable, as Ubuntu is much more cutting edge.
I don't have the source to "it" (as it is propriatery), so compiling with the Ubuntu libraries and gcc is out of the question.
What would be the best way to get these old versions of the libraries up and running on for "it" on Ubuntu?
