forward automatically pop3 to gmail

Hello, i have 2 accounts of mail:
- gmail
- other (pop3)

i know that gmail with IMAP allow to "upload" mail, for example in thunderbird i can take the mail from the other account and bring them to gmail, saving original "to:" and "from:".

I want to make this thing automatically, how it is possible?
i tried with fetchmail(and a cron job), but it seems that it can't upload to imap :(

gmail can check pop, then all you have to do is check gmail.

in gmail-> settings-> accounts & import-> checkmail using pop3

i have my gmail grab my yahoo & hotmail, i have sylpheed grab my gmail for local reading or i just go to gmail in the browser.
