Ok,
My audio tech teacher is a strong supporter of apple. He's known me for a couple of years and knows my dislike for apple. So when the school board got him new macs a couple of weeks ago, he gave the apple stickers to me as a "present".

Then I thought, "Hmmmm. Maybe I should give him some Linux stuff." and I waited patiently for the Ohio Linuxfest (w00t) to get some stickers and distro cds and the such. I compiled a collection of stuff for him and I plan on wrapping it up and giving it to him as a present from Santa (and I don't know if I'll wait til christmas or not to give it to him)

The last thing I need to take care of is a note from santa. I wrote a rough draft in limerick form. Here is my rough draft (it's not done, and it's not perfect):

Dear T.T.,

I've made my list,
I've checked it twice,
I've found out,
the naughty and nice,
Bad news too,
nice ain't you.
But never fear,
for chirstmas ain't near,
you still have time,
to leave organized crime,
Refrain from apple,
Join the linux chapel.
and if you Take my advice
you'll surely be "Nice"

Taking a stroll
At the north pole

Your friend,
Santa Claus

I'm sure there are some creative minds out there that can help me out.

Write your own limerick of linux cheer for this apple fan!

For the record, that ain't a limerick. But if you want one...

A present for a man with Mac in his soul,
is tricky to come by, because on the whole,
The products are crap
If beautifully wrapped
So enjoy your shiny piece of iCoal.

Both of you guys... I almost crapped myself from laughter. Also, what's with the Christmas theme, All Hallows Eve is right around the corner? I would write one but nothing comes to mind just now.

That's also not a limerick. The first two lines are too long.

I'll write something that looks kind of like a limerick but really isn't:

Oh boy this thread
How I wish it didn't exist
But sadly, it does
And that's UF for you

Twas the night before christmas
And all through the house
not a peripheral was working,
not even the mouse.
I checked all the cords
and pushed the power button with care
In hopes that a flicker on the monitor would be there
All I could do was bang my head with a crack
against my expensive new paper weight that I had called a Mac
I realized as I wrote this not so limery limerick.
That I could have already had this fixed if I had gotten Linux.
All warm in my house I could just be recompiling the kernel
Instead I am contacting tech support,
to throw my money down the urinal.
Macs don't get viruses they said at the store
well I will have to stop that virus myself with a forty-four.

Yeah I abused that a bit, but it still keeps the right rhythm.
