While using rdesktop to connect to my pc at work over vpn, I've noticed that it's much slower than rdesktop should be and was when i was using gentoo. While scrolling within rdesktop, xorg goes to 99% cpu.
It looks like someone first submitted a bug exactly like this in June. Here it is: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/378958
How do I get passed this bug? rdesktop is one of my most commonly used applications and this pretty much makes jaunty unusable for me. If the bug is fixed on Karmic (and it sounds like it is), can I install karmic's rdesktop and see if that solves my problem?
