i am a new ubuntu user and im liking it very much so far :D
the update manager keeps popping up and im not sure which updates are necesarry and which i could do without, there seems to be alot of library updates. i am only hesitant to install them all because it is about 220MB in total and i am running ubuntu using wubi with limited storage.

is there any guides to the update manager and updates on this forum?
if not could you please advise me which ones i should choose :)

thankyou so much in advance.

Best way is to install all updates because they are there for reason. If you donīt want to upgrade some package go to the synaptic find package you donīt want to upgrade mark it and in package tab select lock version. This way you can stop Open office or other packages to be upgraded. You donīt want to do that with libraries, because not upgrading them can affect performance of some packages.
