If you don't know what a zipit is look at this linuxjournal vid:

by itself is very cool, has ARM and cheap!: $50 (http://www.zipitwireless.com/default.aspx?skinid=1)

now by flashing it (http://hunterdavis.com/archives/201) (even easier than installing a distro on an eeepc), you can get it doing some cooler stuff (http://hunterdavis.com/archives/category/zipit-hacking)

am picking mine up ASAP

ya, i saw that too... looks nifty.

any idea what wifi protocols the hardware supports? WEP? WPA2? only unencrypted?

i'd probably be looking a lot closer if i wasn't already quite satisfied with my netbook.

yea i would get one even if it were for my kids (well thats the excuse ^^)
