Is there an Ubuntu program that can do gantt charts similar to Microsoft Project?

It would be pretty handy if it was compatible with Project too or at least able to save as PDF format as it's for College work, and needles to say that they only have Windows and Macs there and i don;t always take my laptop.

I've Googled and search the forums and not really found anything.

EDIT:
- it's probably not (yet) in the repo's : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/123275 , and there may be licensing issues (1 of the libraries is Apple proprietary)

- there's "planner" in the repo (synaptic), but I've never used that.

There is OpenProj. It is better than Microsoft Project and it can also handle Primavera file formats.

From site:

"The OpenProj solution has Gantt Charts, Network Diagrams (PERT Charts), WBS and RBS charts, Earned Value costing and more."

It is a very good application. I can dare to even compare it with Primavera Project Planner. We use it at my job and we are absolutely satisfied with it.

It even has a .deb package available for download.
