Java Visual Aid

I am new to java programming and am in need of an application that will allow me to construct GUI based programs with visual aid instead of coding it all out. I don't mind coding it, but now that I have learned how, I would like to save some time.

Netbeans (http://www.netbeans.org/) is a great IDE overall. It's in the Ubuntu repositories, and it has a "visual editor" plugin for Swing.
