Thanks for reading this.
I have a 64bit lappy that the video card burned out. Everything else works. On the current OS I'm able to remote into the system and work on it with no issues (non Ubuntu OS). What I'd like to do is install an OS on the lappy hard drive then remote into the system.

The problem I'm having is getting a new OS to the point where I'm able to remote into it.

I was thinking of putting a LIVE CD image on the lappy drive and then remote into the system. Is this possible and How?

The host computer is a x86 computer the lappy is an 64bit.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Anyone up for the challenge?

Thanks

Fustrated in my own pvtidaho :)

1. Plug a monitor into Laptop video connector for install purposes.
2. Setup networking: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomizationFromScratch
3. Setup serial port: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SerialConsoleHowto

I'll need to try option 2 - Thanks

Option 1 - Video card is burned out. I can't even see the BIOS information any more.

Option 3 - No serial port on this laptop M1210
