We, as a part of our final year engg. project, have been trying to use the NETWORK SIMULATOR 2 (NS2) s/w as a simulation tool. However, we haven't been successful in installing it.The part for TOOL KIT (TK) does not get installed at all, and aborts the process. This causes, the installation to NOT install the remaining parts either. Since this is just the install, im guessing the problem isn't NS2 s/w itself.
we've tried 3 versions of the s/w (2.29,2.31,2.34) and face the same error...
We are new to the world of LINUX, and Ubuntu, and really could use simplified steps for the correct way.
