View Full Version : [ubuntu] Ubuntu 9.4 Perfom Bad

Hello,
Ubuntu 9.4 32bit, perform really bad on my CPU-integrated mainboard-->VIA m2500..
The system would died, even I try to delete file..
I mainly use this machine to run mldonkey server and apt-mirror command.
Is there any parameter, so I could adjust to improve the performance?
Or is there a more suitable version of Ubuntu, so, I could run on my low-efficient setting machine?

How much RAM have you got? And can you please run the "top" command, and tell us what programs stay near the top of the list?

I have used the htop to see the system status. The total CPU usage just remain 5.8%, and Mem usage only remain at about 204/938M...
The always near top program is wget. For I run apt-mirror command to sync mirror server.
