Hi, Linux newbie here,

Today I installed Ubuntu 9.10, next to my Windows partition. It crashed after updating (after the installation completed) - and I couldn't get it start anymore. So then I thought, what the heck, let's try another linux distru. So I installed LinuxMint. I liked it, but I really wanted Ubuntu.

So after that I quickly downloaded Ubuntu 9.04 which maybe is more stable. After installation, I deleted both ext3 partitions( 9.10 & Mint) and few linux-swap partitions (left one) with GParted. But after a reboot I got GRUB error 22, and now I can't boot into my Window XP Partition nor Ubuntu partition!

How can I fix my grub?

I had that problem ages ago so I don't remember the solution. However, this is the thread if you want to read it before someone with more knowledge than me can talk you through it.

Caljohnsmith saved me that time, he really is the GRUB Guru.

Hope you get it fixed soon.
