View Full Version : [xubuntu] Clock keeps getting screwed up on dual-boot ppc

I'll cut to the chase. I'm new to the Linux scene but not new enough not to know how to set my own clock. I'm running Xubuntu 9.04 Jaunty alongside Mac OS 10.4 Tiger on a PowerBook G3 Pismo (2000/Firewire). I've set the clock on Mac and I've set the clock on Xubuntu, but somehow they keep screwing each other up so that neither of them tells the correct time anymore. I've set them to get the time from a network time server, but since I only have a dial-up connection (provided by an AirPort Extreme access point, and I haven't gotten the package to run the dialer manually on Xubuntu yet), it usually comes down to me having to manually set them (and it's worse on Xubuntu—I usually have to reset it every other time I wake it from suspend).
Can anyone explain what's going on (the hardware clock is screwy, perhaps) and possibly help me with this? Before I got Xubuntu, I didn't have any problems (but I didn't have such great features, either). A little help?
