Hi
I became familiar with http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/ a few weeks ago and now I can not work without it.
I am wondering whether we have any similar software to do the same in addition to sharing the monitor too?

If you have some easy and simple solution for sharing monitor as well as keyboard and mouse, please let me know.

Thanks.

I have a monitor that I used with two machines. It has dvi and vga connectors. I had one machine on each conector and switched from digital to analog on the monitor controls. It was a few months ago that I was doing this but I don't remember having any problems. I made sure the monitor was on the proper input when I booted up just as a precautionary measure but I don't think that was strictly necessary.

If you can do this, give it a whirl.

QuickSynergy is in the repositories. I used to use it to work with my laptop running Ubuntu and a desktop running XP.

I`ve used synergy on & off for a couple of years.I use a dual screen setup now rather than the two separate desktop computers so it`s not the necessity it once was but i still use it when i`m on my laptop, just so i dont need to grab a mouse & keyboard to control the desktop.:)
