I'm doing a project on internet censorship and privacy. How do you guys feel about the privacy of the internet there? Do you feel that your civil rights to privacy are being infringed upon?

Maybe because they may speak English too? If someone who speaks German as their primary language visits Ubuntu forums a lot, you'd think they can speak a little bit of English too, right?

I had heard from a foreign exchange student friend of mine that it was an issue, that's all. It's a research paper on an issue that is in a country other than the US and thought that it would be interesting.

I'm going to subscribe to this thread; I've actually been interested in censorship issues outside the U.S., and now I get a chance to see what is happening or perceived to be happening in Germany.
