I have a fresh install of kubuntu 9.04, plus the nvidia drivers via envyNG and the 6 screens fix in xorg.conf. My next step was to get all the software updates.
The updates downloaded fine, but now I'm stuck at 50% (where 'committing changes' starts). I'm running kubuntu off a 8GB USB stick, no other HDD attached.

[Edit: It is going, but extremely slowly - around 1% every 10 minutes. I'll leave it for a few hours and see what happens]
