Hello,

I'm currently planning to create a PPA for Karmic. I want to try to reduce the number of ppa's I have and have one place for all the software that is too outdated and that isn't in the repositories. Just suggest packages that aren't in my list, and if there are enough requests, I'll add it. Even though some software might be available in other ppas, I find it more convenient to have really popular software that isn't in the repo's in one place. This means, even if the other software is found in other ppas or on getdeb, I will consider including. Finaly, this won't be a place for experimental software, but rather stable version of newer applications. I'll post more info when I get a chance to start working on this.

Also, those who have experience making ppas, feel free to give me some tips and advice !

Here are the currently planned software :

applications :
cinelerra
eclipse
mypaint
maxima
openshot
wikidpad
wxmaxima

Games:

cuby
freetumble
fretsonfirex
fgrun

Dont do that...,
go to Launchpad, search for "need-packaging" bugs, and fix them.
But not repackage already packaged packages, and dont upload already uploaded packages.

Or you can make a .deb containing all PPA urls,
and no need to syncing everything constantly.
