Greetings:
I'm also from the "Greater Lafayette Area" in the middle of a small town in the middle of nowhere.
Going on about 3 or 4 weeks of Ubuntu and wonder why ANYBODY would use anything related to Windows.
I will be starting classes at Ivy Tech this month for a Technical Certificate in Network Administration as a new career. I am kinda new to anything more than what the average user does. Well, maybe a little above average, but I would like to gain as much knowledge as quickly as possible.
This Linux animal is a new beast to me, but Ubuntu has made the transition very smooth. My son and I took an informal Linux class at a local computer shop in Lafayette which helped quite a bit.
Hopefully I can eventually help others in the transition.
Bob
