I have an idea for a project/distro some of you may remember my failed "larchix" if not it was an attempt to make an xfce based archlinux distro. I want opinions I was about to revive larchix but I was thinking of using compiz as the wm with only xfdesktop instead. My question is I feel the whole world is basicaly .deb so my second option is to make a .deb like that. I am in love with rolling releases so I was thinking of using sidux as a base. each have seperate pro's and con's

pros for arch:
I am more comfortable with it
I like the package manager better

pros for sidux:
remasterys
debs are everywhere
it'd be easier
not going aigainst a projects mission statement

let me jknow what you think.

also what are your opinions on compiz as an almost stand alone wm?
