View Full Version : GNU FreeFont kicks ***

I was using the default 'Sans', 'Serif', etc. fonts (apparently these are dummy names for some other fonts) and just discovered FreeFont (FreeSans, etc.) They look good (though some might disagree) and they're nice and compact. The only one in the family that I find unusable is the monospace one which I've replaced with the Jaunty default (which looks just like the Free one but darker.) I like these much better than the Mac fonts as well.

Any other font families worthy of checking out?

Verdana, Palatino and DejaVu Sans Mono are where it's at for me.
