Remember at the BlackHat convention where a guy built this: http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/28274/113/

I have decided to use that as a base and create one with better specs...

My question is:

I have an old laptop, with the perfect screen for this project, but is there any way to connect it to my project computer? It would be really nice if that would work.

Some of the improvements over the original that I'm thinking about are:
1TB HD (or should I go solid state so I can lug it around without worry?)
2.4gGZ (Quad-Core) Processor
16GB of RAM
16 WiFi cards

So the full specs so far are:

MoBo: MSI 790GX-G65 AM3
CPU: AMD Phenom™ X4 9750
RAM: 4x Memory Master - 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 DIMM Memory
HD: Western Digital - 1TB Internal SATA
WiFi: 16x Wistron Neweb CM9 Atheros 802.11a/b/g
PCI-MiniPCI: 4x RouterBoard 14 - 4 x mini-PCI to PCI Adapter
Keyboard: Apple Keyboard (Wired w/o Numpad, ultrathin)
Video Card: Salvaged
Display: Salvaged
Case: Salvaged
Power Supply: Unknown

All for ~$1,300...

Please post an answer to my question, and any tips you might have about the project.

EDIT: Almost forgot to post the OS:

Ubuntu 9.10 x86_64 (It will be out when I'm done)
