View Full Version : Infragistics Equivalent for LAMP?

We've developed a specialized web app currently built in C# and ASP.NET that relies extensively on custom controls from Infragistics (http://www.infragistics.com/products/default.aspx)

The app uses a lot of data grids, tabs, and because of the richness of the Infagistics toolkit, the app renders well across browsers and platforms. I want to explore porting this functionality to LAMP, as we we are pondering delivering an appliance version of this and want to avoid MS licensing if we can. I'm completely green to what's available that's even close to Infragistics that would allow us to deploy a similar web app.

If someone stumbles on this post and they can advise on the type of tools that might be available outside of the MS world, I would love some feedback.

P.S. I'm not a developer... for the moment my lead programming resource is mostly MS .NET oriented.

Take a look at ExtJS http://www.extjs.com/. There are several projects that provide .NET bindings. For example, http://code.google.com/p/extsharp/

ExtJS is an excellent toolkit for corporate RIAs. I use it extensively.
