Hi, new to this forum, i need some help.

I downloaded the ubuntu files from the site. It was a lot of files too, but when i tried to locate the cd image to burn to my cd there was no ISO. Wheres the iso, or do i have to make ISOLinux folder into the iso.

You should have downloaded exactly one file, which is between 600 and 700 MB.

Sadly, Ubuntu has quite a few "download pages," so I can't tell where you were.

Start at the home page and click "get Ubuntu."

You should have chosen which version you wanted, such as Desktop, Server, or Netbook. Then which flavour: Ubuntu, Kubuntu, etc. Then 32-bit or 64-bit. And where to download from.

For example, the 32-bit desktop Ubuntu is called
ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso

Go Here: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download

Pick a Location close to you from the drop-down box, click the green Download button.

It should automatically start downloading a 700MB .ISO file.
