Log For This Problem

The applications randomly stopped working while running a flash video on YouTube, it wasn't a system freeze because the window then faded to a black and white version indicating the application crashed. Then the system rebooted like I hit the reset button manually. No shut down cleanup.

Where would a log for this problem be?

Which OS are you using? the logs are located at /var/log/

Ubuntu Jaunty.

I don't know which log to look at though. The application just froze and the system reboot.
