Help installing Mathematica Player please.

I downloaded Mathematica Player for linux. It came on a "mathematicaplayer.sh" file. How do I install it?

First, right click. Properties, Permissions tab, and tick the 'Allow executing file as program' box to make the file executable. Then run is like this, ./mathematicaplayer.sh.

hey, I’ve installed Mathematica Player on linux, but when i open a file appear a error message that says: Mathematica was unable to open the file /home/tiago/transferencias/aulaT01.nb... you may have a problem with you disk, or if you are using a fileserver, someone else may be using the file. error code=-43.....

some can solve it?
