I have been a window xp user ever since I can remember!! over the years I have gotten tired of the many issues ,, which I am not going to talk about here.!!

Ubuntu is a great operating system, I love it. simple things are there when you need them

I have a few problem.

I can not unisntall certain packages , like the bother "brscan" printer drivers
Adobe flash player , I can not installed in Ubuntu it does not work.!!!
I have an old NEC monitor multisycn p1250+ where resolution seem to be not supported , (super high definition)
I am not sure if I can repair an installation with a repair option , I am trying to avoid download all of the updates and the like.

I am going to wait for the next releases and future updates. thank you for your help!!

what distro you using and how did you attempt to install flash player?
you can either go thru the synap package manager or from terminal:

sudo apt-get install flashplayer-plugin
